Thanks to all of you who had such nice things to say about what I wrote for our sixth wedding anniversary. It turned out that Jill and I were in Dallas for my good friend Scott Drake's wedding on July 28th; our anniversary date. It was a great trip! The reception was within walking distance of our hotel. I got to see some good friends from college. I also got to dress up in a pretty snazzy tuxedo since I was a groomsman. I wasn't sure how that would work out given the wheelchair situation but everything turned out great. Jill and I walked back to the hotel a little after midnight. That made it officially our anniversary, so I had the hotel manager open up the business center under the auspices that I had something to show Jill. I had her bring up the website, and she was completely surprised. We both cried. It was a good cry.

You guys must have put in overtime praying for my physical condition. I did have one bad episode last month but it only kept me in bed for the morning. I was up and at it by noon. Not only is this great news for me, but also for Jill since she did not have to deal with it either. Thank you for your prayers.

To all of you worried drivers out there, no I am not driving yet. Converting a van for driving is a very expensive venture. As such, I'm getting some help from the state. It is going to take a few weeks to get the approval back from Austin. It will then take a few weeks to convert the van. And then a few more weeks for me to take my lessons. The way things go, I'm guessing we will be pushing the holidays before I'm actually driving.

My third module wrapped up in school. I made a couple of A's! I am more than halfway done with the fourth module at this point. The last module starts in four weeks. I am anxiously awaiting graduation as is the rest of my team. It's been fun.

I updated my resume a couple weeks ago and have sent it out a few times at this point. One opening looked particularly interesting near Houston. I had a phone interview for the position and one more is planned soon. It's in the same line of work; doing pretty much what I was doing before. For those of you who don't know, I use to manage a computer consulting division of a fairly large company. I resigned from that company two months before I was hurt to start a partnership consulting company with Chip Sherwood. We also had a Dot Com thing going. Unfortunately, everything was cut very short due to my accident. At this point I'm considering going back to what use to do or start my own computer consulting company again. On the other hand, God may have something totally different in mind for me. Stay tuned.

Philippians 3: 7-8 - "But what things were gained to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ."
