Sunday, October 28, 2001

We met with my brother and sister-in-law a few weeks ago to have a much needed discussion.  Everyone had important things say.  Things that perhaps have been held in for over a year now.  I thank God that this was a good meeting.  Certainly not everything was solved, but it was a step in the right direction.  This is something that I have requested prayer for since the beginning.  Thanks to God and to all of you who prayed for a breakthrough on this front.  Please continue to pray that this meeting will be followed up with other quality time spent together.

The other big news this month is that Businelle Company has opened its doors in Houston TX.  We even have a Web site at www.Businelle.com.  The web site is not much to look at.  It is more just a way for people to get in touch with us.  Our focus is going to be information technology (computers) and we are also looking into other technology areas.  We have already won our first contract with a very large company thanks to some personal friendships.  We will have to wait-and-see what God has planned for this company.

My physical condition has been quite good.  I have been to the doctor a couple of times but have been given a clean bill of health.  Thanks for your continued prayers in this area .

Good news and bad news on the driving front.  The good news is the State finally released the funds for my van modification.  The bad news is this did not happen until Friday.  This means we should be able to start the van conversion in the next week or so.  The conversion will take 4 to 6 weeks.  Then I will have 2 to 4 weeks of lessons.  I should be driving just in time for Christmas .

School is still going great.  I have three weekends left.  Since I go every other week, that means five more weeks.  The last class is a entrepreneurial class, and I have convinced my team that we should tackle Businelle Company as our class project.  I have had a lot of good input so far and am looking forward to more.

Jill's job is going well.  As you might imagine, she is super busy with work, school, me, the house, Sugar and a lot of other things.  The Lord continues to bless her with good health, spirit and attitude.  She has 10 days of vacation to use this year; so, I am hoping to find her some R&R that she is willing to take.  Please spend even more time praying for Jill as you do for me since her burden is still quite heavy.

So many people ask about Sugar that I thought I would give an update on her as well.  We took her to a service dog training class.  She is a quick study, so we have high hopes for her being able to help me do things like pickup dropped items.  All I really want to do is give her the service dog vest.  That way, I can take her with me wherever I go.  Even as I just said the (G-O) word, she jumped to attention and is staring at me.  She's a great dog!

Ephesians 4: 29 - "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouth, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those that listen."
