Men really do have tunnel vision. I am realizing this as I look
back on Tuesday morning. The nurse was escorting me down to the
newborn nursery to see our beautiful new bundle of joy. I went up
to the window and gazed at her forever. I went back to our room
and started entertaining our family and friends.. They all
mentioned that they had been down to see her, and the fact that she was
the only girl baby among many, many boy babies. To this very
moment, I do not remember seeing even the hint of another child in that
nursery. All I saw was sweet Faith
Anne Businelle, born February 3, 2003, 7 lbs 15 oz, 21 inches
long. I do not have the words to describe the amazing love I
feel for Jill, but I will try at another time.
We want to thank God for keeping everyone healthy
through the labor and recovery. And a very close second thank you
goes to all of you that have been praying for us and Faith throughout
Jill's pregnancy. Third, we want to thank God for
Great-grandparents! Jill's Mom's parents, Poppy and Granmommy,
have been staying with us since we came home. We would be lost
without them. There is so much more to share, but, all of a
sudden, we have no time of our own.
P.S.: To those of you that are mad at me for waiting until Saturday to
tell you about little Faith (for example, most of my old college
roommates), please keep the hate mail to a minimum as I will be reading
all emails to Faith at bedtime.
